Site Location
Access information
How will the site be accessed during construction?
The site will be accessed from the A413, via a private access road. The private road connects to the west of the site. To limit the number of HGV movements through Great Horwood, construction vehicles will be informed that they must route west (right out) of the site access when exiting the site.
How will the site be accessed after construction?
The same access used in the construction phase will be adequate for the operational phase. It is anticipated that the site will operate predominantly by remote access and will only be visited on an occasional basis, with minimal impact to the surrounding local network.
Construction working hours and delivery times
Construction working hours would be as follows:
- 07:30 - 18:00 Monday to Friday
- 07:30 - 13:00 Saturday
Deliveries are proposed to be made at the following times:
- 09:00 - 16:00 Monday to Friday
- 10:00 - 13:00 Saturday
Only utilities will be accepted before these hours (fuel, site water and waste).
Connection the site
Overhead powerlines cross the site in two locations. The project would connect into NGED's (formerly Western Power Distribution’s) 33kV network via a pole within the eastern half of the site.
